Lisa Appelhans is the Student Support Services Program Education/Skills Development Coach.
She uses her training in program development and implementation and behavior change and reinforcement to help students be successful in entering, attending and completing college. She has worked at Central Wyoming College for ten years, first as the Upward Bound Director and currently as the Education/Skills Development Coach for the Student Support Services program.
Prior to coming to CWC, Lisa worked for substance abuse prevention and educational programs in Fremont County, including the Wind River Indian Reservation for 15 years.
She teaches Exercise, Health and Wellness, Health and Wellness and Freshman Seminar as needed to meet CWC course schedule needs.
Lisa was born and raised in Wyoming and has strong family ties to Riverton and the Wind River Reservation. While not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, running, fly-fishing and reading.
