CWC Receives Grant from LOR Foundation
September 22, 2020Central Wyoming College has received a grant from the LOR Foundation for the Alpine Science Institute. The grant will be used to develop a fruit and vegetable processing area and a cold storage for produce awaiting transportation to market. CWC received the grant on September 8.
CWC alumnus nominated for national candidacy of FFA
September 17, 2020In 2020, Dayne Bradley became the first Central Wyoming College alumnus to be selected for a National Future Farmers of America Officer candidacy by the Wyoming FFA Association. The announcement of his nomination came on June 11 and for Bradley, this nomination follows many years of service.
CWC Alumna Uses GIST for Fire Mapping
September 15, 2020At Central Wyoming College, Geospatial Information Science and Technology courses teach students to use satellite imagery, 3D mapping and computer science to collect and analyze data. This felt like the perfect area of study for Strehle, who first became interested in geospatial science when she job shadowed an Ohio county soil and water district as a high school student. Already having her bachelor’s degree in zoology, Strehle knew she needed the GIST certificate to kick start her career as a Geographic Information Systems specialist.

First Annual Rendezvous Beef Roundup Exhibits Strong Support for Local Producers
September 2, 2020A dedicated group of individuals saw their hard work come to fruition Saturday, August 29, as the first annual Rendezvous City Beef Roundup welcomed more than 100 people to the Central Wyoming College campus to visit with Wyoming meat producers.
