CWC’S UNITED TRIBES CLUB ANNUAL POWWOW SET FOR MAY 2

Colorful regalia, artisans, Native American drummers and dancers and a powerful social gathering are all part of the Central Wyoming College United Tribes Club annual spring powwow Friday, May 2.

Gourd dancing begins at 6 p.m. with the grand entry scheduled for 7 p.m. The event takes place in the CWC gym, located in the Student Center.

As in past events, expect to hear multiple drum groups and see dancers of all ages, said Sergio Maldonado, the advisor for the United Tribes Club. There will also be a number of vendors in the Student Center lobby.

Also on tap are jingle and traditional dance, women’s and men’s fancy dancing and men’s grass dancers.
