Cody has been a School Resource Officer for 18 years. He worked for the Riverton Police Department / Fremont County School District #25 for 14 years and the Shoshoni Police Department / Fremont County School District #24 for five years. He has worked part-time for CWC since 2014 as a campus security officer. He is a past president of the Wyoming School Resource Officers Association and is the current Treasurer. Cody has served as an instructor for the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO), and a Region 8 Director. Cody served on the Governor’s Task Force for School Safety in 2013 and continues to work towards the safety and security of our schools in Wyoming and across the United States.
He is a certified Instructor in Mounted Patrol, CPR/First Aid, A.L.I.C.E, Cowboy Ethics, Military Science, Firearms Instructor, and Wrestling Coach. Cody is also certified with the Professional Teaching Standard Board in Public Administration and Government. He served 10 years as an SRT (Special Response Team) member with the Riverton Police Department. He served in the US Army from 1987-1989 and was stationed at Ft. Riley, Kansas, and Honduras Central America.
Cody and his wife Crystal have started several youth programs such as Ready to Ride, Rope Your Dreams Bull Riding School, and Ready to Ride Leadership Camp as well as being involved with Camp P.O.S.T.C.A.R.D for the last 19 years. Cody is a firm believer that if we give of our time and talents we will make the world a better place.
