Introducing the CWC Jackson Bridge to College & Success program, meticulously crafted to facilitate a seamless transition from high school to college for ambitious students. Launched in 2020, this program is a beacon of support for postsecondary success, offering a blend of academic skills and social resources essential for thriving in the collegiate environment.

Our participants, often first-generation and underrepresented students, confront a myriad of challenges as they navigate the uncharted waters of college life. This summer of 2024, our Bridge students embark on an enriching journey, engaging in sessions with community leaders and organizations, and unlocking valuable insights into diverse career opportunities.

But that’s not all – they kickstart their college experience at CWC by earning one credit through the College Student Success Course. Our unique interdisciplinary project-based approach focuses on honing crucial Academic Skills such as Research, Writing, Math, Life Skills, College and Career Planning, and the pivotal non-cognitive skill of Self-Perception associated with college readiness.

Join us on this transformative path! The Bridge Program unfolds over four weeks, from Tuesday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (with extended hours on Fridays until 2:00 p.m.). Daily interactions with our dedicated Bridge Coordinator, David Ley, and the dynamic English Instructor, Matt Daly, ensure personalized guidance and support throughout the program.
